Sample ItineraryProSail prides itself on the fact that we have no fixed itineraries for our scheduled departure sailing holidays. The desires of guests are considered in relation to prevailing weather conditions to ensure that everyone aboard enjoys the Ultimate Sailing Adventure. The following is an example of the type of experience that guests can expect. DAY 1 :On the first afternoon you will enjoy a lovely sail across the Whitsunday Passage to the northern end of Hook or Hayman Island - Stonehaven, Luncheon or Blue Pearl Bay for snorkelling, swimming and fish feeding. In the evening you'll set sail for either Macona or Nara Inlet for the night anchorage. For dinner your host has prepared marinated BBQ chicken, potatoes, a selection of vegetables, garlic and herb bread. After dinner, it’s time to relax, listen to some music, watch for shooting stars and chat with new friends. DAY 2:You wake up slowly to the smell of fresh air and water lapping against the hull. A tropical fruit platter, cereal and hot bread/toast also greets you for breakfast. After breakfast it’s time for a bush walk at Nara Inlet to have a look at the Aboriginal Cave paintings and then off to Border Island for a snorkel. Everyone has built up a healthy appetite and it’s time for lunch. Cold meats, cheese, salads and specialty bread rolls are ready and waiting for you. As you munch away, we sail out past Border Island and slowly make our way to beautiful Whitehaven Beach. Once at the beach it’s time for fun in the sun - cricket, frisbee, beach soccer and swimming. Following afternoon tea on the beach, it’s just a short sunset sail to Chalkies Beach for the evening. Tonight it's an Aussie BBQ on the menu. DAY 3:Watching the sunrise over Whitehaven Beach is a truly magnificent sight. Your host has another breakfast feast waiting for you and then it’s time to set those sails. We sail around the back of Whitsunday Island past Cid Harbour and head back to Airlie Beach. |
