Hamilton Island Race Week 20-28 August 2010

 Bookings are now open for Hamilton Island Race Week 2010.

Price AUD$1990.00

Condor has only 3 paid crew on board the rest is up to you. 
She races in spinnaker division with all participants getting involved. A little knowledge of sailing is benefical as we are racing but no experience is needed.  First timers are welcome and guaranteed a great learning experience. 
The package includes accomodation on board, breakfast and lunch each day, crew shirt, hat and all entry fees.  Also included on the lay day is a snorkelling trip to the islands and Whitehaven Beach.
The 2009 series was a lot of fun with all guest stating that they will be back 2010!

Audi Hamilton Island Race Week 2010  information for this years regatta.

 2009 saw Condor entered in the Cruising Division 1 with spinnakers. This years contest was held in light airs, not Condors favorite wind but the crew still managed a 3rd place and clinched a 1st place in the 2nd last race. Great achievement considering most of the crew had never met before!

  Hamilton Island 2008 contest was the first she has raced since retirement from the maxi circut.
Although she didn't win, after all she has been retired for 10 years, the series was a great sucsess with all participants having a great time.  Our emphasis is taking a group that has never met and making them into a maxi crew in 9 days!  The 2008 crew were fully running the boat in 4 days!

2009 Hamilton Island race week is finished Condor Finished 3rd in light air and 1st on Day 6 in a little more breeze.

Hamilton Island Race Week 2008, sponsored by Audi was a great success for the Maxi Condor. 2009 was even better! Placing a 3rd and 1st in her division. The third largest vessel in the fleet of 195, Condor turned heads on every day of racing. Eleven charter guests from Australia, New Zealand and England formed the crew and all have confirmed their attendance for 2010.

Our guests ranged in experience from recreational sailors to experienced offshore racers who all formed a great team within a vey short space of time. The Prosail crew helped the team to learn the boats intricacies and by day 3, the team were largely running the boat on their own. All guests acted as skipper at some stage and all took turns trimming the sails. Of an evening guests and crews enjoyed the entertainment of Race Week Festivities, including live music, street parties and generally a good time was had by all. 
We are hoping to enter at least 2 maxis for Race Week 2010 and have 7 available to meet any demand. Race Director Denis Thompson is very keen to have the maxis back and will allocate a special division for the maxis with three or more boats.
