LocationHow Do I Get To Airlie Beach and The Whitsundays?The Whitsundays and Airlie Beach is located in central Queensland approx 1120kms North of Brisbane and 630kms south of Cairns Travel By Air:The Whitsundays is serviced by two domestic airports. The Whitsunday Coast Airport, Proserpine (PPP) is approx 25mins drive from Airlie Beach and is serviced by Jetstar and Virgin Blue Daily direct flights from Brisbane and connecting flights from other capital cities. Transfers to Airlie Beach and your accomodation can be organised through Whitsunday Transit or Whitsunday Taxis. Car Hire is also available. Hamilton Island Airport, Hamilton Island (HTI) is approx 30min ferry trip accross the Whitsundays to Shute Harbour or Airlie Beach and is serviced by Jetstar , Virgin Blue and Qantas Link Direct flights from Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne and Sydney. Travel By Car:Driving south from Cairns 623kms and north from Brisbane 1118kms along the Bruce Highway, turn off at Proserpine to Whitsunday Coast and follow the signs 26 km to The Whitsundays and Airlie Beach. Travel By Rail:Whitsunday Coast Station at Proserpine(26km inland of Airlie Beach) is the rail link to the Whitsundays and Queensland Rail operate regular services.
